Mistaken Identity

1 Peter 2:9-10
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Mistaken identity is simply a situation in which you think a person someone else and because many of us don’t know who or who’s we are, we are deceived to believe we are someone else. Therefore we attempt to live a life of a picture or an image that has been provided by the enemy.

Many of us have lived a life of mistaken identity so long until we are actually having an identity crisis. Which is a period of uncertainty and confusion in which a person’s sense of identity becomes insecure, this usually happens when a person seeks a clearer sense of self and acceptable role in society. An identity crisis happens when confusion sets in as to goals and priorities.

Please hear me, If you are attempting to have an Identity outside of Christ, a Crisis is sure to follow.

So if you’re wondering why you don’t fit in, know Counterfeits don’t Fit. The Identity you’ve taken is not the Identity of Christ, who you’re trying to be is not who you’ve been created to be! Peace and blessings
