1 Thessalonians 2:19
“For what is our hope or joy or crown of boasting before our Lord Jesus at his coming? Is it not you? For you are our glory and joy.”
Are you a Minister/Pastor? Are you a Sunday School Teacher/ Bible Study Teacher? Are you a Christian? If your answer is yes to any one of these questions then I ask you what does your presentation to God look like?
In this very short chapter in 1st Thessalonians we find Paul and his ministry in Thessaloniki. Paul reminds them of the work or the seed that has been planted in them in regards to the gospel of Jesus Christ in which they received. And reminds them even of the suffering in which they’ve accrued because of the belief.
In the last verse of the chapter (verse 19) Paul informs the church of his great desire to come and see them. And here we find why. This church is apart of Paul’s presentation unto God. How does your presentation look.
We learn here that as Believers it is our duty to bring others into the Kingdom in which we’ve been accepted (a wise person wins souls.) And those that we win will be apart of our presentation. Not only are we to win souls it is apart of or duty/responsibility to check on our fruit just as we find Paul doing here.
Have you any fruit/souls that you’ve won to the kingdom? Are you working? I just want to encourage you Believer, be about your Father’s business. You may not be a pastor, preacher, teacher, prophet or any of those other things but when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you became a witness.
Once you’ve identified your fruit/ presentation:
- Then you to will find that in your fruit/presentation you can boast
- You have hope and joy because you can present a soul(s) to Christ at His coming…
Peace and blessings…. – jDab
